Convert Bank Statement to Excel

This tool converts a PDF bank statement into an Excel (.xlsx) spreadsheet. It reads the text on each page and splits every line into cells wherever there is a wide gap, so dates, descriptions and amounts usually end up in separate columns.

It works on statements downloaded from your bank as PDFs with selectable text. The extraction is based on text spacing, so results vary between banks. Compare the totals with your original statement before you rely on the spreadsheet.

How to use this tool

  1. Upload your PDF bank statement (up to 30 MB).
  2. Press Convert & download.
  3. Open the .xlsx file and check dates, descriptions and amounts against the statement.

Frequently asked questions

Why are some columns out of place?

Columns are detected from spacing in the text, so statements with unusual layouts may need manual clean-up in Excel.

My statement is a scan. Can I use this?

Not directly, because a scan has no real text. Scan to Word (OCR) can read the first 2 pages into Word, and you can copy the table from there.

Is it safe to upload a bank statement?

Your file is processed temporarily to create the spreadsheet and is not kept or shared. If you prefer, remove account numbers from the PDF before uploading.
