Some government, university and job portals only accept PDF files of about 100 KB or less. This tool can help by recompressing the images in your PDF and scaling down very large ones at its Maximum level.

It cannot promise an exact size. A text-based PDF may already be small, while a scan or a photo-heavy PDF may stay above 100 KB even at the strongest setting. The tool shows the size before and after so you can see the result.

How to use this tool

  1. Upload your PDF (up to 30 MB).
  2. Choose the Maximum compression level.
  3. Download the result and check its size against the portal's limit.

Frequently asked questions

Will my PDF reach 100KB?

Not always. Simple documents often shrink a lot, but scans and photo-heavy PDFs may stay larger. If that happens, try scanning at a lower resolution or splitting the document.

How much quality will I lose?

Maximum compression lowers image quality noticeably. Text stays readable, but photos and scanned pages can look softer.

What if the file does not get smaller?

If the result would not be smaller, you receive the original file unchanged, and the page tells you so.
